Reisten Colonnade

Basic information

Reisten Colonnade is a romantic gloriette in the Lednice-Valtice Area in the Valtice cadastral area. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The Colonnade was built in 1817–1823 by the prince Jan I. of Liechtenstein as an observation point and also as a monument to his late father Franz Joseph I. and brothers Philip and Alois I. Work on the Colonnade, as well as on other buildings in the Lednice-Valtice Area, should improve social situations of local dependants by providing job opportunities.
